I ordered this on in January of 2018. I was never able to get it working with the app but ultimately that didn’t really matter as I just needed a scale with basic body stats on it. One star for measuring basics. One more star for it being a nice an unobtrusive design. It does take a while for the a measurement to clear (about 30 seconds or so).Recently it’s been throwing numbers that are 10-12 lbs off. I could step on the scale a dozen times and get a different number each time in that 10-12lb range. I have reset the scale, changed the batteries, and used it on different surfaces to no avail.I reached out this week to the manufacturer with the details. They send me a message which I assume was automated about resetting it and changing that batteries. I suppose not one actually read the email I typed in which I said I had already tried that several times? Afterward a second attempt they agreed that it was faulty and I should send it back to them if it’s still under warranty. Unfortunately it’s just out of warranty (January 2020).Are scales supposed to be this disappointing these days? I remember my mother had one of the earlier digital scales from the 90’s and it’s still running decades later. Mine made it about 2.5 years with a 2 year warranty. When this happens, it honestly makes me think companies plan for their items to wear out just after the warranty.Save yourself a disappointment and look elsewhere.
