Bought this to mount a yagi antenna for a cell phone signal booster. We are very rural and get a whole lot of wind, sometimes with intense gusts, so we wanted something strong enough to withstand those winds. This was very easy to install and set up. We placed it as high on the roof line as possible, anchored two of the four holes into roof joist, the other two in the underlayment only, and then adjusted vertically so mast was perpendicular to the ground. It was difficult to remove the paper backing from the rubbery, silicone pads, but once done, did an extremely nice job of sealing the holes as the mounting bolts were tightened. We were also able to run the coax cable through the mast to protect if as much as possible from the elements and wind.

To be assured that my new weather station will give me accurate readings , I want mounted on a sturdy pole that would not sway during the strong winds gusts that often occur in my neighborhood. The 30 inch mount has 1. 6 in diameter which makes it very strong and the black powder coated steel tube looks nice too not making it an eye sore mounted on my deck’s privacy fence. I am definitely pleased with this purchase.

For those of us who have cut the cable and live in or near a city where over-the-air TV service is available (the major networks are ALL in High Definition and strong), one needs a nice, strong post on which to attach a nice antenna. This one worked perfectly for me as I mounte the antenna on the eaves of the upstairs bedroom to get as much hight as I could here at the beach. Four nice lag screws and this thing won’t move in any strong wind.If you have that old satellite dish on the roof or a neighbor does and if they’re no longer in use, this is the same post.I put a nice coat of primer and Rust-o-leum on the post before mounting. Salt air is not your friend.Many of my neighbors ask what that thing is on my roof. A nice laugh.

All I needed was a socket wrench to install. Very painless. Only gripe is that the rubber/tar or whatever-the-heck it is sealer that goes between the bottom of the mounting plate and the roof shingles was a bit gooey and was melted in the plastic bag (a bit). Larger pieces would have been better.

Got this to replace a much smaller J-mounted antenna. Due to its size, couldn’t use the same screw holes as the old mount. Still, it went up without difficulty. Couldn’t be happier.
