Perfumer Harry Fremont created this masculine woody /aromatic fragrance in 2006. A great scent that is appropriate for any occasion from the boardroom to bedroom. It has a top note of rich cognac.

I have been using Black Walnut cologne since it’s original release. I believe that this is a counterfeit product. The bottle and packaging are different. Also, the scent is not as strong and lasts only about a half hour. Very disappointed as I am not a Ken to return it.UPDATE: Amazon made this right, so they get 5 stars!

I bought this cologne back in high school about 12 years ago, suprisingly enough i did not know they sell it still seeing how the BR stores near me said they dont make this anymore… so i thought yeah this is gonna be fake…Nope its spot on with the scent, and i see that i bought the 33$ one thinking of more authenticity, but nope you pay extra compared to cheaper one cuz the top is metal compared to plastic, you also domt get that near wooden case you use to get when purchasing this cologne. I haven’t used too much, but also cuz i like using this cologne for going out with chicks not homies.

This Amazon version of Black Walnut has very nice scent. I still have a little bit left of a bottle of Black Walnut I bought from Banana Republic in 2010 and when I smell them separately, the scents are almost identical (cognac, tobacco, and cedar wood) However, it does smell like either the tobacco or cedar wood component is missing from the Amazon Black Walnut that I can smell in the BR Black Walnut. The bottle is similar to the original minus the name and banner wrapped around the top. The cap is also light in weight compared to the original. I know Banana Republic discontinued Black Walnut (which is a shame) but if you’re a fan of the cologne, I recommend this Black Walnut from Amazon.

I like the scent, but as other reviews stated, it does fade quickly. I’ve been buying Black Walnut for years and years and will continue to do so. The next time, I’ll look for a different seller as this product seems to be lacking ingredients that give the scent staying power. For the money though, it’s fine.

I purchased this cologne for my husband for Christmas and I cannot wait for him to wear it! It smells sooo nice. I tried it on my wrist when I opened it to test it out and it is so nice. I’m actually shocked at the price on this because it is worth so much more. I hope he loves it as much as I do!

Having bern able to find this for years. I also found for a great price. Its a very woodsy smell. However very clean smelling. My husband and I can both wear it. Love it
