The low price looked nice enough to overlook the few cracked case reviews (there’s always a return option anyway). Took the shipper FOREVER to send, hence the dropped 5th star. The three were in separate boxes similar to a model car box. Those were loose packed in a flat box without packing material, but they survived without damage. Had the outer box been mishandled, or even slightly crushed, they would not have. I already held a star, and since they arrived undamaged, I think that is enough, but delayed shipping and careless packing are concerns. The cases themselves are nice, and besides, they’re only job is to cover a display and sit on a shelf. The cardboard scenic backgrounds included aren’t worth a mention either way. Doubt anyone will use them. The base has a line of “semi drilled” holes on the underside at four location that may be final drilled if needed, depending on location of the axles or hold downs in the display. There are four thin and very flexible wires of approximately 8 inches for securing your masterpiece.Yes, I recommend, but only if you’re patient (slow to ship…pandemic?) and willing to risk damage in shipping (poor packaging). Perhaps seller will consider a slight price increase to cover better packaging?

The case works fine and comes with “backgrounds” that you can put behind your model (like a garage, race track, etc.), though I didn’t use any of them. Though the package was adequately padded, the clear case was cracked at one corner. Becuase it’s not visible and still worked as needed, I didn’t bother reporting it. However, other’s have mentioned getting cracked cases as well, so it’s not an isolated incident. The case works fine, just be aware it could easily arrive damaged.

I have purchased AMT display cases in the past and was expecting the same great quality. They used to be proudly made in the USA and it showed. They are now made in China to the cheapest standards like everything else. Probably the reason it arrived with a big crack. I guess the manufacturer doesn’t seem to care about half of their customers receiving the product with the same problem. Maybe they think throwing in a few cheap cardboard backdrops will make up for it. I will be purchasing a different brand next time made with care in the states. MADE IN CHINA GARBAGE

This display case was perfect for my 1/24 scale 1970 Chevy Monte Carlo. The clear plastic cover was very clear and undistorted. The black plastic base has rows of small holes that don’t come all the way through to the surface, but once you determine what holes fit your needs, you can punch through all the way. That way the un-needed holes aren’t visible. This came with four plastic coated wire ties to secure the model to the base through the holes. Also included were two optional background pictures that can be placed on the back of the display to add ambience to your model car if desired. All in all a very satisfying purchase.

Thought I would add some photos for clarity. Great cases for models. However not all will fit. First is a 1/48 scale British tank, second is a 1/35 German armored car, third is a king tiger. Obviously these cases fit 1/72 and 1/48 scale equipment. Certain 1/35 will definetly fit. But anything above a Sherman or a panzer 4 will push the limits plus barrel length becomes a huge issue. Still they are nice affordable stackable cases. We’ll worth the investment to keep your models looking nice

I’m happy with the quality and price of this case. My first shipment arrived badly cracked, but once again Amazon made the exchange super easy. I immediately received a replacement case, and it’s in perfect condition. I recommend this product.

I recently restarted painting fantasy role-playing miniatures and was working for ways to display them other than the shelved cabinets which tend to be expensive and somewhat limit viewing. I particularly was looking for a way to exhibit a group of skeletons I had recently finished. After looking at several car case displays, I chose to try this one because of the angled top.In short, it worked out very well. All 32 figures fit easily in the case with room to spare, allowing them to be assembled in formation. The clear plaster top allows viewing of the miniatures from every angle, and further allows them to be displayed out in the open like on a table or end table rather than being stuck on a wall. The case is very tall for “normal sized” miniatures, but then would allow for the display of considerably taller ones. It would also allow for the construction of mini dioramas using terrain and the like.I decided to make use of the vertical build a set of steps for the case to as to allow all the figures to be easily seen. It is pictured above.Over all, this is a great way to display miniatures of all sorts. However…If there is one downside to the purchase, it is the price point of the case. For what amounts to a few ounces of plastic, $12 is a lot of money. If the price were lower, I would readily buy one of these everything I wanted to display something new. As it is, I would have to think twice about it as a on nicely made display case made of glass and wood on sale at Michael’s could run me as low as $17 -$20.

I’ve ordered four of these great cases and have not had a single problem with the product. I would highly recommend these display cases to any hobbyists looking to display the gems of their 1/25 to 1/24 scale models in a dust free environment.

I bought three of these for my Formula-1 and military models that I built. I was able to fit 1:20 scale car models inside these cases (with very little room to spare, obviously). These are solid and made out of hard plastic. You can stack them pretty easily. I recently also used one to preserve a 1:35 scale diorama of WW-II (Picture). There are also markings on the bottom in case if you want to punch holes to wrap wires (which it comes with) around the axels.I’m giving 4 starts for the ejector pin marks in the middle of the top side.

These display cases are a great fit for models 1:25 scale or smaller. A little too pricey if you ask me but it’s easier than trying to clean the dust off of a delicate model.
