You know the feeling when you buy something cheap and expect it to be according to its price, but then sometimes you’ll buy something cheap and end up in awe that the quality for the price just simply cant be real? Well, this is one of the cases. This edt is very nice! More on the sweet note, cant compare it to anything I have in the collection, but exactly because of that I like it even more as it is unique, and it lasts! I’d say at least 6 hours it goes! And for the price?! I didnt expect such a thing for the price. Definitely worth trying if you like scents that are on a sweeter lil musky side. Give a try, these reviews are legit for once!

Before I purchase anything online I generally read reviews to see if any common issues exist with the product. It has always amazed me how the same product can receive a 5-star review from one buyer and then the next buyer rates it as worthless dung…or worse. Well folks, it is now my turn to write a 1-star review.During the last few years I have purchased colognes that were popular during the 70’s and 80’s. Of course, each had been reformulated, but the original scent was still there, perhaps not as bold as the original and not lasting as long, but that’s not a deal killer for me.So, when I found Halston 1-12 available, a scent I am very familiar with along with it’s brother Z-14, I jumped on the opportunity to enjoy a ride down the Memory Lane of my youth. I ordered, it arrived, I sprayed, and…almost passed out from asphyxiation!!! Somehow, this bottle of 1-12 must surely have been refilled with Raid bug spray. Not only does the odor remind me of spraying insects but it is just about as noxious. Unfortunately, I am being more objective here than I am sarcastic.The nice news is Amazon promptly refunded my purchase without question–which makes me wonder if perhaps fake colognes really are an issue with Amazon suppliers. I don’t know that answer, but I do know that when it comes to purchasing cologne, I’ll rely on more reliable sources. Otherwise, I am quite satisfied with the overall performance of Amazon. impressively, after sixteen years of purchasing a vast variety of products from Amazon, this cologne has been only the second “defective” product I have received, and both times they swiftly handled the problem.

My husband loves this cologne and it has gotten very hard to find in stores. I used to be able to find it around Christmas and stock up but this last year I came up dry. Decided to check Amazon, found it, ordered it, came in quickly………Happy Happy Husband!

Its been so long since I have used halston and forgot how nice it smells wish I would of ordered more at the price I payed now its an add on item oh well nice to have this one thank you

If I could this product no stars, I would. I see many people like this cologne, and I do too, BUT the bottle I received smells too bad for me to use. This is really raunchy stuff. Anyway, I threw mine in the garbage. Disappointing.

*HALSTON 1-12 Cologne itself is a great men’s fragrance.At this price (for a 4.2 oz. bottle) I had a feeling it was most likely NOT legit.Unsure if this particular bottle/product is a “knock-off”, old stock, etc. The scent lasts barely 5 minutes if that. As I have found with nearly EVERY fragrance purchase online (with absolutely NO NEGATIVE REFLECTION ON AMAZON.COM) they tend not to be the real thing. Unfortunately the “virtual” markets are flooded with counterfeit merchandise. In my opinion (and experience has shown) buying from an established brick and mortar store… and realistically paying retail… will get you the ACTUAL product from the manufacturer.

Honestly, I wanted to like this cologne but it’s just not possible. It gets better after the initial spray calms down but overall it doesn’t smell very nice. It reminds me of what I’d call “old guy scent”. I’m very unhappy with it. Try something else, this is a powder bomb.

Specific instructions to ring the doorbell and they never do. Not the prime truck. Not the UPS truck, not the FedEx truck all you Gotta do is reach up and push the button!!!This time they put the boxes in front of my door so I can open it. Not usually a big deal but I am recovering from neurosurgery and I can’t get a nice thing my kids are all around the house today for the memorial day weekend that help me out because UPS and the prime truck both failed

I was in my teens when I first discovered this cologne and today I am nearing 50.Sad to say the cologne fragrance does not last long as it use to.Don’t let my rating discourage you from purchasing this cologne, but as for me it’s time to let go and move on to another fragrance.

I used Halston exclusively for a couple of decades; I haven’t had any since malls boarded up their entrances. Found it on Amazon, read the reviews. They’re about split amongst the old-timers – half say it’s the real deal, half say it’s a cheap fake. I took my chances.It came and the packaging looked legitimate so I was feeling pretty hopeful. And then I sprayed it in the air and took a whiff. Ugh! Yuck! I spayed it on me – both arms. It smelled awful! There’s a harshness to the scent that kind of stings a bit up in your sinuses much like a child’s play perfume. And the scent is completely gone after a couple of minutes. Huge waste of time and trouble.It’s obviously something mixed up in a garage somewhere in Arkansas by wanna be chemists for the sole purpose of cheating people out of their money.Naaaw, I’d like my money back, please.

I had ordered this popular NAME BRAND HALSTON cologne after looking at the picture and description. I just received the merchandise. To my surprise the bottle DOES NOT HAVE SIGNATURE SYMBOL. Therefore, I am not sure if this product is genuinely a real HALSTON or one of the chip/fake imitated cologne in exactly in a same shape replica bottle WITHOUT THEIR SIGNATURE LOGO. Please do not believe the description……..I feel I was cheated.

I was curious… it was cheap and I had wondered about these groundbreaking scents from Halston after watching the show on Netflix, I studied him in Fashion Design school but had never smelt it. I LOVE cologne and have a massive collection of high end scents. I figured, why not, it’s $20. My GOD. Even objectively speaking it’s gross. I was trying to figure out what it reminded me of and I’ve landed on cheap hotel bar soap or at least cheap hotel bathroom cleaner. It’s not wearable. I can only imagine someone 90 year old grandfather or a cab driver enjoying this. It’s probably one of the worst colognes I’ve ever smelt. I had to wash it off and I threw the entire bottle in the dumpster. Just completely unwearable.

I’ve been wearing this scent for years and am familiar with the scent. The cologne I received from Amazon did not come in a shrink wrapped box as they usually do, and it seemed to be very faint Oder of my original supply. Somewhere along the line the formula has been tampered with. Not only does it smell like it has been watered down, but it also smells like a cheap generic bar of soap or air spray. In a nutshell, I will be returning this and look for a shrink wrapped package instead.

When I found it in only for that price I was really happy because it is my favorite perfurm. I loved it when I smelled to a guy who used the original when they were sold by ’80 years around ’85 or ’86. But when I received it, omg it was a great deception. That is not Halston I-12, I know perfectly the fragance of Halston I-12 and Z-14 as I smelled during years. First, its fragance was stronger, unique and sweet but different. I could smell it from long distance. Z-14 smelled different and stronger than I-12, I like more Halston I-12. This fragance smell more like a cheaper fragance or water with fragance and it is not authentic. They lied about it. Because I knew the Halston I-12 and it doesn’t smell like it. Sorry. I can’t say it is nice or not. But it is not Halston I-12, I remember the smell of Halston I -12 and it was unique and stronger than this.

This was a fragrance given me on Christmases past from the “gal across the street”. Her father who passed away prematurely wore it faithfully in the late-1970s and early-1980s. So, receiving those gifts of Halston every year were quite meaningful and special, especially during a period of turbulent years in my early-20s.

I have had this Cologne since the ’80s and it was great back then and is still great now! My last bottle was over $40 when I purchased it back in 80 something and I looked at the bottom of the bottle it was 2 oz. I don’t see how you can beat this value for such a great smelling Cologne. This is a rather larger sized bottle, most premier men’s colognes that are this size go for around $50-$75. I paid the same for this as I did for Polo or Obsession 3 decades ago. Why the other ones are still expensive and this one is not? I have no clue.One last thing to add, my older bottle was a splash bottle. I find that is wasteful of the product as you can put too much on and you are wasting it on your hands or in my case your finger as I just dab on a dot. Either way it is wasteful because 1/2 of what you just dispensed is washed into the sink when you wash your hands.Z-14 is my favorite but 1-12 is a close second Halston scent. If I had to pick just one I would pick Z-14 for sure. At these prices I bought both and did not worry about it 🙂

It is not for everyone (my step-mother gave it to me as a teen because it did not work with her chemistry), but it fits mine great and seems to syncwith my personality. It is both sporty and elegant. I would highly recommend you try it. If it works for you, you’ll love it!(Please note: After ordering a few times, I find that not all of the bottles have the same sent. This,I find to be a frustration.)

I’ve worn Halston since I was 16, that’s been 42 years ago. Still a very classic scent. I remember the first time I smelled it and realized it was the best thing I’ve ever smelled. I’ve worn it ever since. It holds it’s scent without being too powerful . I always get compliments for always smelling so nice!

I wore this scent in my early 20’s because my attractive Mom did. It is a clean and classy scent – not too floral or spicy – just right for my senses. It had been impossible to find in stores so I was happy to see it on Amazon and to find that it’s not a knock off but the real deal Halston. It takes me back and I love that I smell divine but not like every other woman!!

I have been using Halston 1-12 for over 40 years and despite the fact that it’s now discontinued and not as strong as it was when launched, it’s very much the same scent. Gone is the oak moss, sadly….Still a excellent fragrance and great value for the money spent. I’ll stock pile now, while it’s still available. Perfect for the office!

This is really nice stuff. I also received a bottle of Chanel Egoiste on the same day and I gotta say that I think I like the Halston better. You could have 10 bottles of this stuff for what the Chanel cost. Go figure. This has a woody sprucy junipery earthy smell pretty much from top to bottom. I never went to Studio 54 and never had sex in the 70s (I’m a child of the 80s…….much duller) but Roy Halston did a lot of both from what I hear. This just seems like it would have been the smell for the times. It’s really extremely nice stuff. Highly recommend.

Halston is a very OLD fragrance that my mother used to wear. As I’ve gotten older, I now understand why she wore it. It is affordable way to smell like a million dollars. I love the price point, as well as the upscale fragrance it gives.
