Skin Musk was brought out by Parfums De Coeur for the animalic and oriental spirited woman. The musky note dominates the background of the fragrance, arousing the animalist spirit in you. The outlandish woman of today in her several personas needs a fragrance to define her all-round.

It has been a long time since I have been able to find this perfume sold locally. It has been one of my favorite fragrances for almost 40 years.The last time I purchased this, it carried the original Bonne Bell branding and came in a frosted glass bottle with a metal cap.This version does not carry the Bonne Bell branding. The formula, name, logo, and other designs related to this perfume have been sold at least twice over the years, and the current owner of the rights for this perfume has made a few changes, as some other purchasers have noted.1. This no longer carries the Bonne Bell branding, which is reasonable, since they no longer own the rights to this perfume.2. It is no longer sold in a frosted glass bottle. The bottle is now a clear, smooth, slick plain glass.3. It has a plastic cap, not metal.4. The neutral, unscented perfume base has been changed to one similar to many other perfumes and has a golden yellow coloring. This is not an indicator that it has somehow “gone bad”.5. It is a 2 oz bottle, and not the original, smaller, 1 oz size. You are getting a lot more for your money.What has not changed:1. The fragrance itself is still the same. I still have a bit of the original Bonne Bell formula to compare it to.2. It is just as long lasting, maybe even more so.I think the changes made to the formula’s neutral perfume base does make it seem much more potent when you first put it on, which may be the reason why some people are not liking it as much as the older formula. This can be remedied by using less of the product. Don’t bathe in it. Two sprays are enough to last all day and all night. If you still have some of the original Bonne Bell formula left, spray some on one wrist, and this one on the other. After a few hours, smell them both, and you will see that what I am saying is true.Would I buy this again? Yes, absolutely, and I will be stocking up on it by buying as many bottles as I can, while I can still get it.

This is my favorite fragrance but I have to agree it is a shadow of its former self. I worked for I.F.F. in the early 90’s and we had the contract to make this oil. It was a warm somewhat heavy musk oil and the fragrance had more depth than today’s version. We are all buying it now because it was so very nice back then and if a piece of the real thing is all we can get it will have to do I guess

A Skin Musk user since the beginning…This comes the closest to the old days. May not last as long as the original but so nice to have the scent back. Over the last few years I’ve been using the oil but this cologne is very much like the scent I remember. Can definitely vouch for this seller! Authentic Skin Musk.

THIS DOESN’T SMELL THE SAME AS IT USED TO when BONNE BELL put it out!! I have been wearing this since the 1980’s …and all I can say, is that this spray doesn’t smell the way it used to. The body spray still has the original scent, and the perfume oil too, but not this product. I read other reviewers saying the same thing, but I didn’t listen. Now I fully agree…and I’m going back to the body spray which doesn’t last as long.

I started wearing SKIN decades ago and loved it so much. Now the product has changed. My beloved affordable daily fragrance is no longer. I do not recommend buying this at all. It doesn’t have a fresh scent and is gone almost instantly. Waste of money!

This perfume smells so wonderful its great for any woman! It would make a great gift! The price is a nice value as well! I just would’ve loved to buy it in a larger size! I definitely will buy more of it and I highly recommend it for any woman that likes to smell nice and sensual!

Wow….cannot believe how many people compliment me when I wear this perfume. It smells wonderful and doesn’t bother my allergies (big bonus for me). I isn’t strong and overpowering….it doesn’t enter the room 5 minutes before you arrive and stay awhile after you leave! haha I really can’t smell it on myself after I apply, but everyone else tells me how nice my perfume is…but only if they are fairly close to me….because again it isn’t an overpowering scent. :0) I do think it smells a little different on everyone because my daughter wears it also and the scent is slightly different on her.

I like this scent for daytime and was hoping this was a small bottle for travel, sometimes its hard to judge by the picture and description. It’s bigger than what I hoped for but still a nice scent. I wish they offered a smaller travel size as well.

I ordered this item by mistake. I wanted the perfumed oil not the spray. I cannot tolerate the stray because of allergies but the oil is not a mist so I can use that. I was very disappointed to find I could not return an unopened package I am out $30

I have been wearing this fragrance for years and I get so many compliments on it. More than when I wear fragrances that cost twice as much! It tends to work with your own chemistry and creates a unique wonderful smell that is all your own. Beachy with vanilla and musky undertones makes it one of those fragrances that you always grab for.

It used to be made by Bonne Belle, and I loved it more then than I do now. It’s not quite the same, not quite as nice. I don’t know why they had to change it, but they did, so I’m not as happy as I used to be.

I recently received this as a gift from my husband. I always wore this years and years ago when we first met, so he thought this would be the perfect sentimental gift. We were both disappointed to find out it smells NOTHING like the original Bonne Bell fragrance. It’s all baby powder with a slight hint of musk. Other reviews say the smaller bottle of perfume oil actually smells much better than this larger spray, so I will try that instead. If you like baby powder, this spray is for you. If you’re looking for the original Skin Musk, keep looking.
