Things I liked: Solid aluminum. This is not a floppy replacement for the upper hand guard. In addition to the forward and rear retaining mounts there are two small retaining Allen screws about midway that secure it to the metal receiver frame in place of a barrel clamp and make it rock solid. Mine is shown in the M1 BB Carbine customer pics. Perfect for optics. I like to see the target and where the bb’s hit! Or a dot sight when failing eyesight makes fixed sights harder
