Ridiculously small! My son is 25 months old, 36″ tall, and weighs 28lbs AND THE X-LARGE IS TOO SMALL! The sizing is completely messed up! My son is tall and skinny- he can still fit 12month jeans- if they weren’t so short on him they’d look nice on him. He wears 2T-3T in shirts. I’m super disappointed in this purchase and hope that I can find another costume in time for Halloween. Oh, and the face part of this costume looks kind of messed up- one eye is stitched to look wide open and the other one has the eyelid collapsing over the eye so it looks like the tiger had a stroke. Definitely scary but not the look I was going for. If I were you- I’d probably pass on this costume and find something better. Don’t waste your precious time thinking it will work out different for you.

I’m writing a review for those parents whose kids want to be a tiger. My almost 3 year old weighing 39 lbs and 33″ tall wanted to be “sherkhan” tiger and I wanted to make it happen before she jumps into the princess bandwagon. All the costumes I checked online were reviewed as not fitting to the T. I took the risk and bought the small costume intended for 4-6 years age kids. It is a bit loose and I just put a pin on her back to make it look better. In the headpiece, I padded a hand towel on the inside and put it on so that the weight of the towel keeps the head from falling on her face. End of story- she loves being a tiger and can’t wait for Halloween! Just buy a bigger size than you would and put it together. It’s a cute costume even with the eye not being perfect. Who cares as long as your kid is happy?!

Overall, this is a nice costume. I ordered two of this item because I have two daughters who will be wearing them for Halloween (mom and dad are going as Joe Exotic and Carol Baskin, haha!) I ordered a size 4-6 for my 5-year-old and a size 2-4 for my 3-year-old. Both are average sizes for their age. I read other reviews and couldn’t decide what sizes to order because some said it ran large, others said it ran small. I personally felt it ran on the bigger side in both cases. It wasn’t so huge that my daughters couldn’t wear it, but it is a tad too long and there is enough room for them to wear layers underneath if it’s cold on Halloween. I wish the headpiece was made a little better, or at least attached to the costume. As it, it’s more like a hat that velcros under the chin. Depending on how big your child’s head is, there may or may not be a gap between the headpiece and the body of the costume, which looks a little weird. This was the case for my 5-year-old. If your child has a smaller head, like my 3-year-old, the headpiece tips forward and makes it hard for them to see. The headpiece appeared to be the same size with both costumes, more like a one-size fits most thing.

If you’re thinking, “It seems to fit some people! Maybe I’ll try my luck and just return it if it doesn’t work out.” No. Don’t do it. I got a size 18-24 months for my toddler, figuring that he’s tall for his age anyway so its okay if it’s a little big. What I got would have been better suited for a 6-8 year old. I mean, it was enormous. I’d be terrified if I saw a toddler that was that big. When I complained about it, their response was “Sizing varies brand by brand, body by body.” Um, no. I have used many brands and NONE of them have been so unbelievably wrong about sizing. And toddlers just are not that big, this is not an issue about body shaming – as I said, I have a huge toddler for his age and he was just swimming in it. So it’s not that they’re accidentally sending the wrong sizes, guys – they are just plain wrong about sizing, and are 100000% unapologetic about it. Plus, it costed me an insane amount to have it returned, and I live in the same state!!! Don’t do it.

Beware of sizing! I ordered the large because it said it fit 2-4t but it was so huge it could fit my 9 year old so I returned it and got the medium 18-24 months it was almost big enough for my 6 year old. Seeing how the sizing had been before I thought okay I’ll get the small 6 to 12 months and it should fit my two and a half year old who is in 2-3t … nope! The small is in a different packaging and is actually sized correctly & fits 6 to 12 months and was way too small. Now I have to find some other tiger costume for my two-and-a-half-year-old to had his heart set on this one

I ordered the 6-18 month size for my 8 month old knowing full well that it was more than likely going to be a bit big. My baby is in 9-12 month clothes, so the fit shouldn’t have been too bad (or so I thought). The bodysuit was HUGE. I had my10 year old try it on and it fit her just about perfectly with the exception of it being just an inch too short on her legs. Would definitely not recommend until the sizing issue is fixed. The costume itself would have been perfect had it not been for the size. It is a thinner material and clothes with Velcro squares, but it’s perfect for when you have an outfit underneath.

The quality control on this is very low. The head piece was all wonky and sewn unevenly which makes the tigers face and teeth way off center. One of the teeth points backwards and is off by 2 inches. The ‘mane’ was nearly nonexistent, just a little bit of wispy fuzz that was falling off when I touched it. It would NOT fit a 2T, it’s more a 4T. It’s going to make your child look like a tiger, and it will last through the night, but if you are looking for something high quality this is not it. Like, if you are wanting nice photos of your child in a costume, I would pass on this one. It’s just nice enough for trick or treating, which may be fine considering this is a special occasion item and it doesn’t really have to hold up for multiple uses.

My daughter loves her costume! She is three, and I got the x-large because everyone said it runs small. It was big on her, but not so bad that I needed to alter it. It was actually perfect as it was so cold I needed to put two layers on her to keep her warm underneath! Worked perfectly without being bulky. I took one star off because the head piece was such a pain. It just wouldn’t sit correctly on her head. If I used the Velcro to keep it in place, there was only a 2″ diameter for her little face to show. That little window didn’t include her eyes, either! I was finally able to rig it up, but it needed constant adjusting through out the night.

Based on the reviews about it being too small I ordered a size up: the 4T-6T for my 2.5 year old who is really between 2T-3T sizes. It’s pretty huge on him but I’m not sure I want to go through the hassle of orsering smaller and returns etc. I will probably just pin it to fit him. The stuffing in the tiger head is kinda smashed and doesn’t stand up anywhere near as nice as the photo. I might be able to smoosh it around to fit better. All in all a decent costume for the price.
